Recently, I have been receiving some spammy emails signups on my MailChimp subscription form. I thought there must be a solution to stop this. Immediately I googled and found there isn’t any article giving step-by-step tutorial but found some help documents on MailChimp website.
After digging deep in to those Help articles, there is a line that says you can enable reCaptcha for MailChimp forms in Settings. I think the spammy email signups has been the case of many MailChimp users.
MailChimp has enabled reCaptcha feature to all its signup forms except popups and embedded forms. For these two forms you have to manually enable it in your account. Let’s see how to enable reCaptcha for MailChimp newsletter subscription signup forms.
Enable reCaptcha For MailChimp Subscription Form
1. Login in to your MailChimp account. Click on Lists at the top.
2. Choose the List to which you want to enable reCaptcha and click on Settings.
3. In Settings page click on List name and defaults option.
4. You will find Enable reCaptcha option on this page.
That’s it. Hope this solves your MailChimp form’s spammy signups.
